Vetrerie di Empoli was founded in Tuscany in 1936 and still today belongs to the Parentini family. Initially, it dedicated to the production of the characteristic green glass typical of Empoli, then evolved towards increasingly elegant products, inspired by Tuscan and Italian culture and artisan tradition. This activity quickly had a great success and an unexpected artistic-cultural impact, conveyed by the first flagship store opened in ’39 in Via Pietro Verri and then in via Borgospesso and in via Montenapoleone, always in the Milan fashion district. Between 1939 and 2024, the Vetrerie di Empoli stores have been a reference for an increasingly international and sophisticated clientele, eager for high-quality products that are at the same time surprising and exciting. For almost a century, the Parentini family that manages the company continues to create innovative and original collections, including 2 high-tech and design patents, one of which was selected for important ADI competitions: Index and Compasso d’Oro. Today Vetrerie di Empoli continues its activity with an international distribution, now consolidated thanks to the refinement of its highly artisanal and versatile collections with the brands VdE 1938 and the historic Griffe Montenapoleone, because our customers do not only ask to buy beautiful products, but objects that arouse an emotion and represent their personality and their taste.

Our services

PERSONALIZATION

Vetrerie di Empoli can personalize any glass, making it unique. Your logo or your initials can be etched into the glass. The etching is done by hand and can feature initials, emblems and company logos. The results are durable and the glasses can be washed in dishwashers. The etching can be made more precious with pure gold applied by hand, and the same can be done to the borders and rims: this treatment is particularly appropriate for initial and emblems. It is also possible to use platinum instead of gold, which gives the glasses a more contemporary look.

REPAIRS

Vetrerie di Empoli gives your precious heirlooms a second life. If you are holding on to goblets, vases or other objects in glass or rock crystal, chipped or cracked or otherwise marred, that you cannot bear to part with because they are rare pieces or because they have a special meaning for you, our artisans are at your disposal. All our repairs are carried out by hand, using traditional techniques and with the greatest of care.

MAINTENANCE

Vetrerie di Empoli makes particularly fine items, valuable both for the expert craftsmanship with which they are shaped and decorated and the precious materials used, like pure gold and platinum. To prevent their being damaged, the goblets and glasses should be washed singly, using warm water and a non-abrasive, liquid detergent. To maintain the brilliance of the gold, we suggest that they be dusted regularly with a soft cloth made of natural material ( wool, cotton or linen).
